Job Description

Community Disabilities Support Workers work with persons with disabilities to develop life skills in a 24/7 housing facility and through outreach services that support semi-independent living. Qualified candidates will work one-on-one with clients in engaging activities such as social networking, physical activities (swimming, racquetball, etc.), life skills such as budgeting, meal preparation and planning and group activities that encourage socialization.

Successful candidates will demonstrate skills such as:

- strong communication skills

- Energetic and Active

- Patient and willing to work with people at their own pace.

- Computer skills that support online documentation and charting.

- Compassionate

- Have an understanding of developmental disabilities.

- able to work unsupervised

- Emotionally equipped to deal with stressful situations

- Have the ability to work under pressure while staying calm.

·         Energetic

·         Possesses Grade 12 education.

·         Possesses a Valid Drivers license.
